Find out how to publish an accessibility statement for your product or service and keep it up to date.

It's a legal requirement and a departmental standard to publish an accessibility statement for your product or service. It must explain how accessible your service is, identify any remaining accessibility issues and tell users how to report accessibility problems.

Keep your accessibility statement up to date so it reflects the current accessibility of your product or service.

Accessibility issues and statements service

Use the accessibility issues and statements service to create and manage your accessibility statement and track accessibility issues.

Accessibility statement templates

If you cannot use the accessibility issues and statements service, use a standalone accessibility statement template.

Choose the template that matches the level of accessibility conformance of your product or service:

  • fully compliant template - all pages of your product or service, including every step in any transactional service, meet all WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria
  • partially compliant template - at least half, but not all, of the WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria are met
  • non-compliant template - fewer than half of the WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria are met
